Use A Trenchless Repair Method On Your Sewer Line

A damaged sewer line can cause raw sewage to back up into your house, which is going to cost you a lot of money to repair and clean. If the damage is on your side of the sewer connection, then it's something that you are likely to have to pay to get repaired. When you call a plumber to get the line repaired, they may suggest a trenchless sewer line repair.

Trenchless Sewer Repair

To repair the sewer line, the plumber has to access the pipes. Traditionally, that would involve digging a trench that goes along the length of the pipe, looking for where the damage is. Once the damage has been found, the plumber can fix the pipe. The problem is that it can cost a lot of money to dig a trench in your yard, and your yard can take a long time to get back to the state it was in before the trench was dug. But, with a trenchless repair, things go differently. The plumber can put a sleeve down into the pipe. That sleeve will have a resin on it that will make the sleeve harden after a time. The sleeve gets pushed through the pipe until it reaches the other end. Then it is left to cure. Once cured, the plumber will cut the sleeve to size with the pipes and connect the sewer line to the pipe.

The hardened sleeve completely adheres to the pipe wherever it touches the pipes. When it hardens, it can be as strong as the original pipes, covering up any holes or damaged areas that the pipe may have.

Reasons to Use

There are several reasons why you should go with a trenchless repair method. One is that it is going to be less expensive. The plumber doesn't have to do as much work since they don't have to dig a trench to explore the damaged sewer line. Bringing out the tools to excavate a trench can be really expensive, and the plumber will pass that cost on to you. It will also cause less damage overall since the plumber only needs access at the beginning and end of the line.

When you have a sewer line problem, you want to get it repaired as soon as possible. A trenchless repair method will get your sewer line repaired and usable quickly, without a lot of mess.
